  1. Place the alarm panel in Walk Test mode.
  2. Once Walk Test mode has been entered on the alarm panel, the sounder of the siren will go off for three seconds, and the white strobe will flash for a total of 15 seconds. .

If your SIXSiren is beeping, one of three things is happening – either it is going off due to a smoke/heat alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, or the battery is low. If the battery is low, and you are being alerted to it by the sensor chirping twice every 45 seconds, you will want to replace the batteries in the siren as soon as possible.

  1. Locate the siren that is showing the tamper by verifying the zone number and location of that siren on the alarm panel.
  2. Place the alarm panel in Walk Test mode.
  3. Go to the siren showing the tamper.
  4. Twist the sensor counterclockwise, until it stops turning, then rotate the sensor clockwise again until it clicks fully into place.
  5. Now that the sensor is properly secured onto the mounting plate, reboot the panel.
  6. Once the panel has been rebooted, test the sensor for proper function.

How to change the batteries in a Lyric (SiX) Siren


  1. Locate the siren that has a low battery by verifying the zone number and location of that siren on the alarm panel.
  2. Place the alarm panel in Walk Test mode.
  3. Go to the siren showing the low battery.
  4. Twist the siren counterclockwise until it stops, and pull straight down to remove it from the mounting plate.
  5. Now that the siren is open, you can see the batteries located inside.
  6. Remove the old batteries from the sensor, by pulling it straight up out of the battery tray.
  7. Now that the batteries have been removed from the sensor, replace then with four new 1.5 volt AA (or equivalent) batteries.
  8. Pay close attention to the orientation of the batteries in the battery tray. The batteries will have a positive side, and a negative side, and the battery tray will have the proper orientation marked.
  9. Once the batteries have been replaced, you will need to replace siren on the mounting plate
  10. Place the siren on the mounting plate, and turn it clockwise until it clicks securely into place
  11. Now that the siren is properly secured onto the mounting plate, reboot the panel.
  12. Once the panel has been rebooted, test the sensor for proper function.
