Perform a Walk Test on the sensor. To test the sensor you can rap sharply on the cover with a pen. This will simulate the sound of breaking glass. If the sensor trips on the panel, it is being monitored. If not, contact Technical Support for further troubleshooting.
If a SIXGB glassbreak sensor is showing a loss of supervision, this means that for whatever reason, the sensor is not being monitored by the alarm panel. To ensure that the sensor is being monitored properly, perform the following troubleshooting steps.
Occasionally the Glassbreak detector can be set off accidentally, especially if there is a loud noise in the range of the glassbreak detector. Things that can set the glassbreak detector off include, but are not limited to, cupboards or doors slamming, keys or silverware dropping. Basically any loud noise within range of the sensor has the possibility to set it off. If you are experiencing excessive false alarms from your glassbreak detector, contact Technical Support for assistance.Contact Us
