How to change the battery in the 2GIG Medical Pendant

If the battery in your Medical Pendant is low, follow the steps outlined below to change it.

1. Remove the pendant from any mounting systems (i.e. watch, belt clip, etc.) so that you have the pendant by itself.
2. Locate the pry notch, and using small flat blade screwdriver (or another flat tool), pry the back cover off of the pendant exposing the board with the battery installed.

3. Remove the battery from the board using your small screwdriver to slide under the battery, then gently pry the battery from the battery tray.
4. Properly dispose of the old battery.
5. Install a new CR2032 battery in the sensor by inserting the battery then pushing it down until the tab secures it in place. Make sure that the positive, or + side of the battery is facing up.

6. Snap the case back together.

7. Once the battery has been replaced, contact Technical Support and ask for assistance in testing the device for proper function.

How to activate your 2GIG Medical Pendant

To activate your Medical Pendant in the case of a medical emergency, grasp your Medical Pendant, and locate the button in the middle of the device.

Press and hold this button down for 5 seconds. As long as you are within range of the alarm panel (150 feet) the alarm system will be set off and request medical assistance from the monitoring station.

After you have set the alarm off with the pendant, simply press disarm on the alarm panel, and type in the master code to deactivate the siren.
