To test the keyfob for proper function, follow the steps outlined below.
You can also test the panic button on the keyfob. In order to do this, it is best to contact our Technical Support department so that we can place the account on test and verify that a signal is sent to the monitoring station. Contact Us
If the keyfob is sending false alarm, first make sure that you are not accidentally pressing the panic button because the fob is in your pocket, or a purse, or something similar. After that, make sure that the panic button is not stuck. If none of these things are taking place, and the false alarms continue, contact Technical Support. Contact Us
If the buttons on the keyfob are pressed accidentally this can cause the alarm panel to arm, or disarm – it can even accidentally set off a panic alarm. The keyfob is most commonly accidentally activated when stored in a pocket or purse, and pressure is put on the buttons. If this is happening, locate the keyfobs, make sure that the buttons are not being pressed, and also make sure that the buttons are not stuck.
If your Keyfob is lost or stolen you will want to get it deactivated as soon as possible in order to maintain the security of your home. Please call Technical Support for assistance with deleting the keyfob out of the panel. Contact Us
