How to fix a tamper on a 2GIG Carbon Monoxide Sensor

Locate the sensor that is tampering by verifying the zone number and location of that sensor on the alarm panel.
Place the alarm panel in Walk Test mode.
Go to the sensor showing the tamper.
Twist the sensor counter-clockwise until it stops turning, then rotate the sensor clockwise again until it clicks fully into place.
Now that the sensor is properly secured onto the mounting plate, reboot the panel.
Once the panel has been rebooted, test the sensor for proper function.
If you have followed these steps, and the sensor is still tampering, contact Technical Support for further assistance.

How to change the battery in the 2GIG Carbon Monoxide Sensor

Locate the sensor that has a low battery by verifying the zone number and location of that sensor on the alarm panel.
Place the alarm panel in Walk Test mode.
Go to the sensor showing the low battery.
Twist the sensor counter-clockwise, and pull straight down to remove it from the mounting plate.
Now that the sensor is open, you can see the battery located inside.
Remove the old battery from the sensor, by pulling it straight up out of the battery tray.
Now that the battery has been removed from the sensor, replace it with a new CR123A (or equivalent) Lithium battery.
Pay close attention to the orientation of the battery in the battery tray. The battery will have a positive side, and a negative side, and the battery tray will have the proper orientation marked.
Once the battery has been replaced, you will need to replace sensor on the mounting plate
Place the sensor on the mounting plate, and turn it clockwise until it clicks securely into place
Now that the sensor is properly secured onto the mounting plate, reboot the panel.
Once the panel has been rebooted, test the sensor for proper function. If you do not know how to do this, contact Technical Support.
If you have followed these steps, and the battery still shows low, contact Technical Support for further assistance.

False alarm on 2GIG Carbon Monoxide Sensor

If you ever receive a false alarm on your Carbon Monoxide Sensor, leave the home and contact our Technical Support department. The Carbon Monoxide Sensor is a life-saving device, and alerts from it need to be followed to ensure that your family is safe.

2GIG Carbon Monoxide Sensor beeping

If your Carbon Monoxide Sensor is beeping, one of two things is happening, either it is going off due to a carbon monoxide alarm, or the battery is low. If the battery is low, and you are being alerted to it by the sensor chirping every 48 seconds, you will want to replace the battery in the sensor as soon as possible.

Loss of supervision on 2GIG Carbon Monoxide Sensor

If a Carbon Monoxide Sensor is showing a loss of supervision, this means that for whatever reason, the sensor is not being monitored by the alarm panel. To ensure that the sensor is being monitored properly, perform the following troubleshooting steps.

Perform a walk test on the sensor.
If this sensor has a history of low battery, the battery may have died completely, and is no longer being monitored as it no longer has power. If this is the case replace the battery in the sensor.
Ensure that the sensor is within range of the panel. It needs to be within 150 feet of the panel with minimal interference, (walls, doors, etc.) If signal strength is the issue, more equipment will need to be installed. Contact our Technical Support department for assistance.
If none of these reasons explain the loss of supervision of the sensor, you will need to contact our Technical Support department for assistance.
